Some people, like me, run desktop machines, and run them 24/7, typically. I actually find it inconvenient to have to restart my machine and select another OS, and reboot, and all the while, NOT have access to my normal desktop and files at any moment's notice.

My 'Mac' is a quad core i7 running 3.9/4.2 GHz (OC/TB) with 32 GB RAM, and a GTX 980ti. I keep my CPU at 100% workload at all times, running video encoding frequently, and folding @ home when not video encoding. World at war steam for mac.

Overclocked, and always at 100%, temps never go over 65°C on air. My case airflow is such, that I've NEVER seen my GPU fans ever bother kicking in. My Mac also happens to not have a trace of Apple hardware in it. I run a Hackintosh.

So yeah, for me, it's actually very annoying to restart, cause I have to dig out my USB keyboard, plug it in, and change my boot volume. My wireless keyboard doesn't work in the boot manager. I'd personally LOVE to run Cemu natively, without jumping through hoops.

I can only hope for the day when people realize that not every Mac OS user is using an overpriced, out of date Apple manufactured joke. And the new machines, when they are out will finally introduce genuine Apple users to last years tech, vs tech from three years ago!

Heck, Apple's even finally supporting eGPUs. It's about time. And finally, the reason most Mac users don't care to 'just install bootcamp' is because you also 'Just need a copy of Windows'. Mac OS is free.

Windows is not. Some people just really don't wanna give Microsoft the cash. They'd MUCH rather play natively, or even play on Linux. Just not Window$. I have a copy of Windows Pro, only BECAUSE I am stuck using software that REQUIRES not only Windows, but requires PRO to even launch. I kid you not. 8GB installer download.

14 GB content download. And a 26 GB installed package. Won't even LAUNCH unless running on Windows PRO. For 2D CAD, a text compiler, some random technical tools, and a chip compiler/programmer.

But this is the kind of shit that Mac users are always dealing with. I accept that the company that produces that software isn't gonna ever do a Mac version, but with projects like this. It just gets annoying. That people CAN make it work is one thing. That it's not done over an opinion that 'Windows is for gaming' is just annoying.

Windows IS for gaming right now, but partly because there's so little willingness to push Apple towards gaming. I agree, all but their latest stuff is weaksauce. And the new stuff is just good enough. I'll never buy an Apple machine again, but I WILL use their OS. I prefer it infinitely over Windows!

Thing is, Hackintosh builders and owners of newer hardware are CAPABLE of some level of gaming, if the games would just be made available. I play Kerbal Space Program and Infinifactory (both very CPU heavy), Minecraft, Farming Simulator. But I really enjoy my Switch, and before tha.
