Hallo, I am new to Mac and I like to have a userfriendly newsreader client for text usage mostly.Apple dropped Open Transport all the way back with the release of Mavericks (OS X 10.9), and that coincided with most ISP's dropping access to the newsgroups. Loss of Open Transport caused most of the then-existing newsgroup readers for the Macintosh to break.
